Loddon Church Norfolk

The Church was built around 1490 by Sir James Hobart, of Hales Hall, who held the position of Attorney General to Henry VII. It is largely Perpendicular in style and contains a number of notable features including : a hammerbeam roof, a  Jacobean pulpit,  early Edwardian pews complete with carved poppy  head ends and a painted rood screen depicting “William of Norwich.” Only three windows contain stained glass of these the east window with its vast array of shields is the most notable.
